Subject:Photographs taken at Kato Dhikomo.
19.11.58.
Sir,
I have to report that following a call to the village of Kato Dhikomo
on Wednesday 19th November, 1958, I attended at that village at
1445 hours. I saw a single floor dwellinghouse situated to the north
of the village and there took photographs of the exterior and the
interior. In a rear room I saw a tiled floor with a trap door removed
from a space in the floor. Through this trap I saw the body of a
man and a quantity of weapons and explosives. I took photographs
of the inside of the space through the trap door.
On Thursday 20th November, 1958, I again attended
at the single floor house in this village and was present when Major
HARRISON of the Bomb Disposal Department, detonated the explosives
in the space through the trap door. After these were detonated I
took further photographs, showing the damage resulting to the corner
of the house where the room had been situated.
The film exposed has been processed and the prints
prepared as attached. Description index at rear of album.
